I am elated to share this gorgeous Jamaican bridal styled shoot, I hope you will be inspired for your Wedding in Jamaica.

BRIDAL FIRST LOOK

As a makeup artist in Jamaica, I am
especially intrigued by the rich colours of the Jamaican landscape. This romantic tropical island wedding shoot
was inspired by the ‘Magic’ of my homeland Jamaica. When I saw Cary Island I knew it was the
perfect venue for bringing my vision to life.
It is a breathtakingly gorgeous beach front villa on Jamaica’s north
coast, nestled in fresh island splendor.
It is a 1930 Tudor style home with its own charming private island and
colonial elegance.

The color palette for the shoot
was derived from the perfectly coordinated tango of water colours dancing
around the property. The mystic blue of
the Caribbean Sea, pastel skies, golden orange sunsets and vivid foliage.

I knew it was essential to collaborate
with a photographer who had a clean, crisp and creative aesthetic, similar to the style envisioned for the shoot. With his
instinctive talents, Darien Robertson brought his artistic approach using
nature and light to his advantage. I
should call him the ‘Nature Whisperer’ as the elements appeared to bend to his
will allowing him to capture a masterpiece that dreams are made of.

Our florists Rochelle Williams
and Paulette Welsh brought their floral prowess to the shoot creating a bridal
bouquet and tablescape that exuded a relaxed tropical elegance, embellished
with elements from the coconut plant which symbolises relaxation. Sprigs of dried coconut flowers featured in the
lush tropical floral centrepiece housed in a
coconut seated on a palm frond.

As a bridal makeup artist in Jamaica I like to keep bridal makeup cohesive with her dress and wedding theme. With such a colorful palette I
aimed to keep the bride’s makeup fresh and subtle, allowing her natural glowing
beauty to shine through. Golds and browns were used to accentuate her eyes with
a pop of coral lip gloss to keep her youthful look. Her hair was done in an elegant upsweep.

The romantic Casablancha bridal wedding
gown provided by Kamala P. McWhinney of White Lotus Bridal was fresh yet bold,
the perfect attire for an irie island wedding.

Simone Gordon of Tasha and Tianne
Fashions certainly created an exquisite but playful bridal second dress for
us. The blues and browns of the dress
mimicked the Caribbean Sea with its majestic bejewelled rocks. The dress, accentuated with her earrings and
bracelet custom made from rare stones and shells, cascaded like sensual waves
around our bride.

We finished
off the evening with gorgeous sunset portraits with our bride. I hope you will be inspired to jet to Jamaica
