Q: Will my wedding makeup hold up for my destination wedding in Jamaica, considering the hot and humid climate?

A: As a professional and highly experienced makeup artist in Jamaica, the simple answer is Yes, your makeup applied by 'us' will be able to withstand our hot and humid climate.  We use professional and premium quality makeup and skincare products, proven to be long lasting but still feel lightweight on your skin.  We offer our destination brides getting married in Jamaica, a luxury airbrush experience. Airbrushed makeup has the advantage of being long-lasting and light-weight.

Q: How do I maintain my wedding day makeup for my destination wedding in Jamaica?

A: We provide touch-up services at an additional costs for the bride who wants to have us on site to keep her makeup fresh, we will also help to carry your train and be an extra pair of hands where needed.  For the bride who is comfortable with her own touch ups. We have got you covered, we will provide you with a touch-up kit which includes all the essentials needed to maintain your wedding day look.

Q: My husband to be and I are concerned that I will look completely different with my wedding day makeup look.

A: The brides who book us typically haare this concern as their desire is a tasteful and natural wedding day look while still looking like themselves. I get it, you want to be recognisable.  We are experts in creating  a natural red carpet sophisticated wedding look. All our previous brides have been 100% satisfied with their natural wedding day look for their destination wedding or elopement in Jamaica. We have a process from when you first reach out to us till your wedding day, that allows for an exchange of your favourite inspiration wedding day photos and frequent communication with you to ensure that your wedding day makeup vision becomes a reality.

Q: Will my foundation be perfectly matched so that my undertones look natural?

A: Yes, we are experts at perfect and flawless foundation matching, ensuring that you DO NOT leave with a "floating head" face and body makeup does not match. We have over 10 years of experience working with various ethnicities and have perfected matching undertones. We custom match your perfect makeup foundation shade  and generally use 3 - 4 different shades of foundation to ensure that your face and body matches.

Q: I want to go and enjoy the Sand, Sea and Sun for my destination wedding in Jamaica but I am worried about getting sun burned, What do you advise?

A: I typically advise my brides to avoid staying in the sun for long periods before the wedding day. But if you and your bridesmaids find this difficult. I understand... you are here to enjoy your Jamaican Wedding Experience in it's entirety! No problem, I however advise that you: 

  • Use sunscreen not less than 30 SPF, Apply uniformly all over face and exposed body areas
  • Reapply sunscreen every 2 hrs
  • Wear a wide-brimmed hat to provide additional sun-protection
  • Cover up as best as possible and avoid bikini straps etc to prevent tan lines

Q: Why do I need to hire a professional makeup artist for my wedding or event?

A: One of the most enduring elements of a wedding/event are your photographs.  A professional makeup artist will ensure that your photographs are timeless and breath-taking.  Makeup for photography is very different from regular everyday makeup, a professional artist uses special techniques that will have your makeup lasting all day and night and will photograph beautifully in all lighting conditions.

Q: Do you do a bridal trial?

A: Absolutely!  Your trial allows the makeup artist to discuss the details of your wedding such as gown, colours, bridesmaids dresses, hairstyle,etc.  This allows for the artist and bride to agree on a makeup look that compliments the wedding theme.  Bringing inspiration photos to your trial are welcome.  Any skincare issues or allergies that you may have will also be addressed, as they will influence the products used.

Q: I am a destination bride getting married in Jamaica, will I be able to find a makeup artist that knows how to work with various ethnicities?

A: I have experience working with various skin tones and ethnicities from the palest alabaster to the deepest mahogany skin tones.  I specialise in feature enhancing techniques using contouring and highlighting to enhance a diversity of eye and face shapes. We specialise in destination weddings and elopements in Jamaica and are masters at working with all ethnicities.

Q: Will I be able to schedule a bridal trial as a Destination Bride?

A: If you are arriving in Jamaica a couple days before your destination wedding.  We can work on scheduling a bridal trial.  If we are unable to schedule a trial I will add extra time to your wedding day makeup session to ensure your satisfaction.

Q: I usually go Au Naturel. Do I still need a makeup artist as I do not want to look or feel too ‘made up’ ?

A: Absolutely! I use special application techniques to have your makeup feel and look quite natural while still photographing beautifully and lasting thought the day and night.

Q: How far in advance should I book my date?

A: The sooner the better! The typical booking time frame is 6 - 8 months prior to your event but booking 9 months or more in advance is okay.

Q: Do you honor last minute requests for makeup services?

A: It’s never too late to book. I however recommend booking early to secure your date.  I am aware that last minute changes/plans occur and will try and honor your last minute requests once an opening is available.

Q:  Do you do airbrush makeup?

A. Yes, I do airbrush makeup. I am skilled in both mediums of makeup application, airbrush and traditional.  I am able to provide the benefits of both mediums to my clients. These benefits include:

Q. Do you provide hairstyling services

A. We cater to all your wedding day beauty needs. At your request we will provide a hairstylist for your wedding in Jamaica. We do not only provide makeup artist services, our hairstylists are experienced in destination weddings in Jamaica and are competent in styling hair types of the range of ethnicities.

Q. I am not experienced with makeup and not sure what look I desire for my wedding in Jamaica.
