Lauren’s Jamaican Wedding

It was such a pleasure working with Lauren and her family. She contacted me about my makeup artist services for her tropical vibe, laid back destination wedding at Sandals Royal Caribbean located in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

She wanted a natural makeup look and shared with me that she did not want it to feel caked on or look artificial. I assured her that she was in good hands as one of the best makeup artists in Jamaica - I am able to have my clients look natural but still done.

The pre wedding atmospere in the room was very laid back and relaxing with lots of laughter and chatting in the room. I was so blessed to makeup her mom and mother-in-law I loved and cherish the interaction I had with these beautiful, graceful and confident women. While we interacted, I learned that Lauren likes reggae music and was very familiar with the reggae artist “Chronixx” whose newest album was on my playlist which we vibed to and helped to add that tropical flavour before her very beautiful Island Ceremony.

I asked Lauren to share with me why she choose Jamaica for her wedding.

Lauren’s Response - ”We have been to several islands in the Caribbean and had always been told how amazing Jamaica is. As soon as I saw that over the water bungalows were being built at Sandals, we were sold!! We could not have picked a more beautiful location - from the beaches, the people, all the way to the local cuisine - EVERYTHING was beyond perfect! I can’t thank Tamara enough for the incredible makeup job which was the icing on the cake!”
